Vitreous enamel is a process of fusing powdered glass to a substrate. Applied by heating in kilns at between 750oC and 800oC the powder melts and adheres to the surface before hardening to a smooth, durable vitreous coat. Enamel is a very desirable finish and adds a rich textured finish which is both easy to clean and aesthetically pleasing.
